This week!

Hello Everyone

This is an important week for us.  It's the ending of the 1st 6 weeks.  Students need to be passing all their classes by 4pm on Friday in order to remain eligible.  We're trying to have 100% of our students pass their classes for the first time in our bands history.  Our student leadership team has been working hard to help us reach that goal.  If you know that you're in trouble with your grades please communicate first thing this week!  We'll set up meeting with the teachers to get help!  Parents please check your kids grades!

We also have two of our show designers working with our students on Monday and Tuesday.  Because of this, the winds and color guard will have rehearsal from 4:30 - 7:30.  They will have Wednesday and Friday off! The percussion will have a slightly different rehearsal schedule because of their competition on Saturday in Plano.  (See below)

Tonights Performance!

Hello Band Families

Tonight our rehearsal will be ending at 8pm.
At 7:40, we're going to invite all the band parents to walk to the front of the practice field to watch their kids.  This will help us get ready for our performance next week at the football game.

At 8pm, we'll all dismiss as a family on the 50 yard line.

The more parents we see tonight, the better!

Thanks
Kevin McNulty

Items For This Week: UDB App

We're excited to announce we'll still be implementing our digital drill book for this year due to last year's success! The drill learning process is turning digital to give students more information, save paper and time for band programs, so an application has be developed to provide this information in a digital format, UDBapp (Ultimate Drill Book App).

UDBapp is FREE for to download and will work on any IOS and Android device. More information my be found here: http://ultimatedrillbook.com/udbapp/

Below are to tutorials on how the app works.

Students will also be asked to still fill out a traditional dot book as well. This will serve as a backup and also enhance the learning process by writing down their personal coordinates. Please make sure students have everything below.

NEEDS FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 2: NIGHT BLOCK

  • Oxford Spiral Bound 3 X 5 Index Cards
  • Shoe lace
  • UDBapp on phone or other device. (We'll be able to work with students who can't get this on their phone or other IOS/Android device)
